Anglo American Undergraduate Indigenous Scholarship Program 2015

Anglo American is pleased to offer one scholarship specifically to support an exceptional Indigenous student throughout their university studies to the completion of their degree. Applicants for this scholarship must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted as such by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, in addition to studying a relevant degree at a Queensland or New South Wales university.

 We are currently looking for university students interested in securing a 2015 scholarship with Anglo American. As an Anglo American scholarship holder, you will receive an annual payment over the course of your degree (maximum 4 years) which will be paid upon successful completion of each semester.

In addition, our Scholarship Program will give you the opportunity to learn about our business and the mining industry through valuable practical experience on our Vacation Work program and put you on the fast track path to securing a Graduate position with us.

We are seeking applications from undergraduate students at any stage of their Bachelor’s degree (including first year). Relevant disciplines may include various fields of engineering, science and other areas of study associated with the mining industry.

There are some eligibility conditions for our Undergraduate Scholarships so please send us your application if you are:

  • Studying a relevant undergraduate bachelor level degree at an Australian tertiary institution;
  • Maintaining a University GPA of a credit or above;
  • Studying full-time course load of 100% according to your universities subject weighting policies;
  • Not under bond or committed in any way to an employer;
  • Willing to participate in Vacation Work at one of our mine sites;
  • An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
