Electrical/Instrumentation Technician – GLNG Plant

About the Role:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader for Downstream Operations, the LNG Instrument-Electrical Technician will be accountable for performing planned and breakdown maintenance duties as required maintaining the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of the LNG Plant.
  • Joining the team during the Operations Readiness phase, you will help with the development of maintenance procedures in preparation for plant commissioning and start-up.
  • This role will be based at the plant site on Curtis Island and will work a roster.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and ensure compliance with EHS standards for performance and behaviour.
  • Liaison with internal and external parties including Maintenance, Operations and Contractors.
  • Carryout preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance work on HV electrical generation systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on Control Systems, with the ability to trace DCS, SIS and FGS software interconnections.
  • Perform PLC & DCS network sub system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Interpret and maintain analytical instruments including analyzer correlation checks against laboratory results.
  • Coordinate and perform validation of custody metering systems.
  • Perform maintenance on Vendor Package Units to rectify unit control failures.
  • Interpret and maintain machine Condition Monitoring systems.
  • Maintain LNG tank gauging system.
  • Perform maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic controlled systems.
  • Responsible to ensure quality control/assurance of motor removal, installation & overhaul work and assist to ensure the timeliness of repair work.
  • Maintain notifications and work orders, initiate material reservation, technical report and time confirmation in Oracle CMMS.
  • Contribute to job method statements and JHA development for critical activities.
  • Participate in commissioning support work alongside the EPC contractor.

Job Requirements                      

  • Dual trade qualification in Electrical & Instrumentation with an A Grade Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  • We are seeking someone with ideally 5 + years’ experience in oil and gas, hydrocarbon or other related heavy plant facilities who has good knowledge of DCS, PLC and ESD systems, HV Switching and EEHA (Electrical equipment in hazardous area).
  • Hands on experience in trouble shooting of Emerson Delta V DCS and Rosemount instruments would be advantageous as would experience in Quality Metering.
  • You will have experience in problem solving, troubleshooting and safe work practices and an ability to supervise on-site maintenance contractors. You must be able to combine strong skills on the tools along with an ability to assist with procedure writing during the Operations Readiness phase. 

Mechanical Technician – GLNG Plant

About the Role:

  • Joining the team during the Operations Readiness phase, you will help with the development of maintenance procedures in preparation for plant commissioning and start-up.
  • This role will be based at the plant site on Curtis Island and will work a roster.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with internal and external parties including Maintenance, Operations and Contractors.
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with EHS standards for performance and behaviour.
  • Perform maintenance on various stationary and rotating process equipment.
  • Carry out fault finding and repair maintenance on Vendor Package Units to rectify unit faults.
  • Interpret and maintain machine Condition Monitoring systems.
  • Perform maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Carryout preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance.
  • Maintain notifications and work orders, initiate material reservation, technical report and time confirmation in Oracle eAM CMMS.
  • Contribute to lifting plan, job method statements and JHA development for critical activities.
  • Assist Vendor contractors on Solar and GE Gas Turbines and Nuovo Pignone Compressors.
  • Participate in commissioning support work alongside the EPC contractor.
  • Development of maintenance procedures during the Operations Readiness phase

Job Requirements:                

 
  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in LNG, gas plant, hydrocarbon facilities or related heavy industries.
  • Sound background in plant operations, preventative / predictive and break down maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical machineries and static equipment (tanks/vessels/piping).
  • Previous experience in cryogenic process compressors, diesel engines, gas turbines (GE, Solar etc), multi-stage centrifugal pumps and PSV certification is highly advantageous.
  • You will have experience in problem solving, troubleshooting and safe work practices and an ability to supervise on-site maintenance contractors. You must be able to combine strong skills on the tools along with an ability to assist with procedure writing during the Operations Readiness phase.

 Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Planner – LNG Plant

 About the Role:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent for Downstream Operations, the Maintenance Planner shall be part of a highly competent planning team responsible for the delivery of well executed maintenance & shutdown activities. 
  • You will provide operations and maintenance support in plant commissioning for initial operations at various phases of the Project implementation and develop the plant maintenance planning system in readiness for the plant start-up
  • Initially this role will be located in the Gladstone CBD office and work Monday-to-Friday office hours before eventually moving over and being based at the LNG Plant on Curtis Island

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and ensure compliance to all EHS management systems and contribute to a strong EHS culture.
  • Planning, Scheduling & Optimisation of tasks associated within the Maintenance & Shutdown functions.
  • Produce short to medium term maintenance plans.
  • Produce maintenance plans for opportunity, minor and major shutdowns.
  • Scheduling all Campaign-style work to ensure the long term integrity and reliability of the plant e.g. painting/coating, cladding, vessel, PSV recertification, piping, mechanical, scaffolding, instrumentation & controls, SCM, electrical, structural or civil repairs.
  • Shall primarily focus on critical path and driver scopes of work, and also incorporate production run-down/start-up elements.
  • Responsible for developing Work Packs which shall be complete prior to issue of the Shutdown or Major Maintenance Schedule.
  • Provide input to the strategic maintenance schedules within a one to five year window
  • Manage the administration, record keeping and reporting of the maintenance planning function.
  • Liaise with Maintenance / Engineering, Operation teams, vendors, contractors, other Planners and support functions such as logistics and materials.

Job Requirements 

  • Electrical trade qualification (ideally dual Electrical & Instrumentation) with an A Grade Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  • 5-10 years trade experience as E&I technician and 2+ years as a Planner in a similar hydrocarbon facility or related heavy industry.
  • Previous planning experience in the LNG industry will be highly regarded as is knowledge of Hazardous Areas Classification.
  • The successful candidate will have a high level of computer literacy including MS Excel, MS Project or Primavera and an advanced knowledge of database and spreadsheets. You will also have experience working with CMMS such as Oracle eAM, Maximo or SAP.
